Ask A Local: Best Places for a Sweet Treat in Vail

Come on into American Ski Exchange to rent top of the line ski/snowboard  equipment and clothing. When you are done exploring the mountain, return your  equipment/clothing for the day and ask us about our favorite sweet treats. After all, a  long day on the slopes is the perfect reason to treat yourself to something delectable. Below is a list of a few of our favorite sweet treats in the Vail Village:

Best Place for Crepes: Crespelle

Crespelle: https://www.crespellevail.com/

For the skiers and boarders who love a sweet treat before hitting the slopes,  Crespelle offers sweet crepes at the base of Vail Mountain steps from Gondola One. For  s’mores lovers such as myself, I recommend the Pillow Drop (a crepe with chocolate  ganache, toasted marshmallow, and graham crumble). If you are a Nutella nut, I  recommend the Crespelle (a crepe with Nutella, chocolate pearls, strawberries or  bananas). Coming here means getting a delicious snack before hitting the slopes, and  supporting a locally-owned business. You cannot ask for a more convenient location!

Best Place for Decadent Haute Chocolate: The Remedy Bar in the Four Seasons

The Remedy Bar: https://www.fourseasons.com/vail/dining/lounges/the_remedy_bar/

After a cold day on the slopes, fireside hot chocolate is the perfect way to warm  you back up! For the most decadent and delicious hot chocolate, you have to try the  Four Seasons’ “Haute Chocolate.” Ordering this drink is an experience in itself. It is  presented in a French hot chocolate pot adorning a silver tray. With steamed milk and  Valrhona chocolate, it is poured in front of you into a cup topped with a dark chocolate  lattice and marshmallows. It is truly the richest hot chocolate I have ever experienced. It  is the closest thing to European hot chocolate you will find stateside. It is truly a MUST.

Best Place to Grab Candy: Fuzziwigs Candy Factory

Fuzziwigs Candy Factory: https://www.fuzziwigscandyfactory.com/

For the skier that likes to munch on something sweet on the chair, Fuzziwigs is  the place to go. From gummy bears to almost every candy bar ever made, this shop  would give Willy Wonka a run for his money. The perfect spot to stop at for a quick pick me-up or a treat for the kiddos.

Best Place for A Caramel Covered Apple: Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory: https://www.rmcf.com/CO/Vail50392

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory offers incredible caramel and chocolate  dipped apples. The plain caramel apple is a classic. If you want to be a bit more  adventurous, I recommend the Pecan Bear Caramel Apple (a Granny Smith apple  dipped in caramel and rolled in roasted pecans, milk chocolate, and white confection).  After burning all those calories on the mountain, treat yourself!

Best Place for Ice Cream: Sundae

Sundae: https://www.sundaeicecream.com/#section-1563845512638

When enjoying Vail in the summer, it can get hot. Sundae is the perfect place to  stop for some ice cream after exploring Vail Mountain or walking around town with little  ones. Sundae is known for its small-batch artisan ice cream. Sundae not only offers  many of the classics, but also features creative new flavors. You cannot go wrong with  the chocolate dipped waffle cones. Stop on in to see what they have featured!
